To the family of Frances Leber
My family and I live in the Jackson community and were saddened by your family’s loss.
Once you lose a loved one in death, life is never the same. However, the Bible gives us hope that soon our old enemy,” death will be swallowed up forever”( Isaiah 25:8). God’s Word also gives assurance that soon God will bring our dead loved ones back to life. Isn’t that a comforting thought?
It is my family’s hope that the following scriptures will also bring you comfort.
Revelation 21:1-4
John 3:16
2 Corinthians 1:3,4
John 5:28,29
Acts 24:15
Luke 7:11-17
Luke 8:40-56
Sincerely,
Cedric Livingston

Although I was out of town at the time of the funeral, I want you to know how much I and other members of the League of Women Voters will miss Fran. She was an inspiration in her work to make the community, state and nation better, even as her health made that more difficult for her.

Fran was a hero in so many ways. Her passing is a true loss to her family for sure but also to the human family at large as Fran devoted so much of her life to making things better for so many. I worked alongside Fran for several years in the voting arena and consider her efforts critically impt to making our voting truly democratic. We need a million more like her.

Fran was a person we can all remember well. Each time I attended any event/workshop/conference at the Jackson Church she was almost always the first to welcome me with a warm smile and a hug. How we greet the “stranger” in our midst speaks volumes about our humanity and our caring.
My sympathy to Fran’s biological family and her church family.
