The Livingston Family posted a condolence

To the family of Mr. Raymond Simon Epp Jr.
My family and I live in the Jackson community and were saddened by your family’s loss.
Once you lose a loved one in death, life is never the same. However, the Bible gives us hope that soon our old enemy,” death will be swallowed up forever”( Isaiah 25:8). God’s Word also gives assurance that soon God will bring our dead loved ones back to life. Isn’t that a comforting thought?
It is my family’s hope that the following scriptures will also bring you comfort.
Revelation 21:1-4
John 3:16
2 Corinthians 1:3,4
John 5:28,29
Acts 24:15
Luke 7:11-17
Luke 8:40-56
Sincerely,
Cedric Livingston

Dear Family,
I am so sorry for you loss. Chief was a guy that would give you the shirt off his back. I will never forget first meeting him when Bob hired me to paint the deck at Millsaps. I was thinking, who is this guy? Bob said it was his Dad. I said, "Bob I didn't think you needed anymore help." Bob replied that his Dad gets bored sitting at the house so he helps him sometimes. After a few minutes talking to the Chief, I realized that Chief was just a great person who had a great soul who really just liked helping people. It takes a real person to not only serve in the military for so long, but to retire and then teach kids who he genuinely cared about. Every time I would see the Chief, he would put me in a good mood. Just such a good person who loved life. I have never seen a step father so close to his son. Chief would do anything for his family, always with a big smile.
May you rest in peach Chief, you were a good man, and I know you are in heaven. May God Bless your family.
Your Friend,
Peter

So sorry to hear about your brother's passing. I only briefly met him a couple of times years ago. I didn't know of his long military service and military training career. I know he was a very special person and will be greatly missed by many.

I was a member of JROTC with Chief from 2010-2012 and I can honestly say he taught me so much more than just that class. He was someone I could turn to with anything and he helped me become the person I am today. The world seems emptier knowing he isn't here anymore. I am so grateful that I happened to run onto him a few weeks ago at a store and that he got to meet my little girl. I know that there are so many others with stories like mine, lives changed like mine. I remember when we finally placed at a drill competition. The first thing we did was bring him that trophy. That feeling made all the swear and tears worth it. We will miss you so much Chief. And we thank you for putting in so much of your life into ours. I love you Chief, and I'll see you again. Chief Epps was a man that believed in you more than you believed in yourself. He touched so many lives, mine included. His memories will live on. Sending prayers to the family in their time of need.

Such a man of integrity, honest & hard working. His life made such a difference in the lives of so many students, myself one of them. My Cheif years 2002-2004. He instilled a love of honor & country in my heart that I’m forever grateful for.
May God cover all of his family in comfort & understanding as they mourn the loss of our beloved Chief Epp. May we continue to pass his legacy on for many many years.
Fly High, Cheif!
All my love,
Jamie “Davis” Elam
