Donald Ray Barker (Don) was born December 24, 1946 to Mrs. Louise Chenault Barker & Mr. Jerl Ray Barker in Dyersburg, TN.His family moved to Flora, MS when he was a small child. He spent his young life hunting, fishing, and learning a strong work ethic from his father. These things influenced him throughout his life.He continued his love of the outdoors as an avid bow hunter but as he grew older, he used a camera for shooting much more than his bow or gun.Don’s career was in computer technology.  He was the owner of MidSouth Computer Consultant/Services and a consultant with American Public Life Insurance, where he had been previously employed as Vice President of Computer Operations.

He is preceded in passing by his parents, and infant brother William Thomas (Tommy) Barker.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Linda Byrd Barker of Madison, MS; his only child and beloved daughter, who was his heart, Bethany Willis and grandchildren, Jillian & Jacob Willis of Lakewood, OH; three brothers, Bill Barker of Lumberton, GA; Doug Barker of Flora MS; John Barker of Savannah, TN.

The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to Dr. Adele Thiel and the Highland Home Long-term Care Unit for the exceptional care they provided.
