Abby and Amy...my thoughts and prayers have been with you all week but are especially with you today as you lay to rest your wonderful dad, who loved you both so much. You girls and those precious grandchildren meant the world to him as he did to you. Bill was one of the finest men I have ever known. May he Rest In Peace now that he is no longer suffering. God has certainly gained another angel! My love to you both.

We were childhood friends and grew up at Jackson Street Methodist Church. We have been in contact for years and he was so good calling me all the time. When he called he always said "I love you Martha Day". I loved him coming to Brookstock and he loved it too. He was a true friend and will be missed by the Class of 1967.

Hey Abby and Amy, I’m truly sorry for your loss. Your dad was a great man and he loved you to very much. It was a joy having him as a neighbor he was truly my friend. I’m going to miss him as well. Dear sweet Amy and Abby, Your father was a wonderful man and although I didn't know him real well, the first time I met him he had to take me in and show me pictures of y'all and he told me then that he absolutely adored you both and was so so proud of you girls and that y'all were his world! Never forget that love! Because your heavenly Father's love is even grander and HE made the ultimate sacrifice for you and me and because of that we will all be with him again one day in heaven. The last time Bill and I were in New Orleans, we went to the Cathedril. We stayed for Mass and then I lit a candle for Bill. I will keep lighting candles in his memory the rest of my life.

ABBY, I’m so sorry to hear of your dad passing. I liked him so much and feel very sad. Especially for you and your sisters and for the kids. I know they are so upset. He loved them so.
