Please share a memory of Bruce to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bruce Elliott Eddy was born on May 18, 1965, to Dr. David Bruce Eddy and Faye Kennedy Eddy of Jackson, MS. Elliott died on July 22, 2019, peacefully in his sleep after a long illness. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his brother, Keven Kennedy Eddy of Pearl, MS and sister, Carrie Alycia Eddy Brewer of Raymond, MS. He is also survived by his life partner, Sandra Cleveland of Canton, MS. Elliott stepped in to the role of stepfather to Amanda Kay Howard, William Cleveland and step grandfather to Gabriel David Howard all of Canton, MS.
Elliott went to Jackson Academy and All Saints Episcopal School in Vicksburg, MS. He had an incredible gift and talent for music. He taught himself to play guitar and could play anything he wanted just by listening to it. Elliott played in many local bands throughout his life as well as in surrounding states. Elliott loved music but he loved his family even more. He loved spending time with his family, swimming, playing guitars with his brother on Sunday afternoons, eating crab legs and going to the beach are just some of the things he loved doing. Elliott adored his canine companion, Peanut, who never left his side.
Elliott worked as a carpenter when he wasn’t playing music. One thing everyone always noticed about Elliott was his upbeat, positive attitude. He was always a hard worker. Even though Elliott had a tough few last years his attitude remained upbeat and his dependence on the Lord was evident. Elliott will be greatly missed by all who knew him but comforted knowing he is no longer suffering and resting with our Lord.
