Candace Lindbergh Cox, age 70, passed away on December 18, 2019. She was born on September 1, 1949, to Andrew Lindbergh and Thelma Leithman Lindbergh in Jackson, MS. Candace was a devout catholic.
She went to St. Theresa catholic school in Jackson, Provine High School, graduated Wingfield high school in 1968 and attended Hinds Junior College.
She is survived by her husband Marvin Cox for almost 42 glorious years; two Sons, Matt Cox (Amy), Drew Cox (Molly Sledge), grandchildren Rae Holland & Walt Cox, Saelym Grae Cox & Peyton Elizabeth Sledge; Mother in Law, Erma L. Holland Cox, Sister in Law, Melba Jean Willis, Sister in Law, Judith Anne (Thompkins) Lewis, Niece, Kelly Marie Larkin (John) & Nephew Scott Andrew Lindbergh-Lewis (Leanne).
Candace is predeceased by her mother Thelma Leithman Lindbergh, father Andrew Alvin Lindbergh and her brother Andrew A. Lindbergh, Jr.
She is also survived by many great Nieces & Nephews and many relatives out of New Orleans and California, and many other states. Along with many friends towards the end.
She had attained a Private Pilots license for many years. One of her true enjoyments was cooking Italian Foods for the family. She loved all genres of music, watching football (Miss State, Saints & Cowboys) being some of her favorites.
Candace worked for Lampton Love, the Jackson Mayoral office which she was instrumental in bringing in the International Ballet company to the Jackson area. She also worked at the MS Bar Association and Channel 12 News Station for several years. Candace has also worked many jobs as a Kelley girl in the position as a professional administrative assistant.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison from 9:00 am until 10:30 am. A funeral service celebrating her life will begin at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.
