What a great man of god we have lost. A man whom I loved like my own dad. A man who took me under his wings and cared for my as his own child. No words can express my gratitude for the things petty done for me. Perry done so much for me and the kids in our community and the things he has done will forever be remembered and I will forever be grateful. I will never forget the times I’ve spent with the Davis family on several occasions, The long talks he had with Shayla and I on plenty nights. This is a lost that I still can’t believe happened. My heart breaks when I think that I won't be able to speak with you again but my heart fills with joy when I think of the lasting legacy that you leave behind. My memories of you span 28 years as I met you when I was 22 years old. You gave me spiritual guidance since the day I met you and you always talked about your daughter and your wife and your family. God had a faithful servant in you and I know when He called your name He said that you can come home my good and faithful servant. You died on my birthday and I will always remember that a soldier was called home on that day. Your physical loss brings a lot of tears to family and friends who love and adore you and only time will help ease that pain. Our Heavenly Father made a way for all of us to see you again in Glory and until we meet again my friend, I will cherish the life that you lived.
