Joyce Miller Williams, 92 of Jackson, passed away surrounded by family on April 26, 2020 in Canton. A memorial service will be held for her at a later date when possible. She was born in Winona, Mississippi on October 31, 1927. Joyce is preceded in death by her father Cecil Miller, mother Birdine Artman Miller, brother Guy Miller, daughter Kimberly Williams Napper, and husband and love of her life Tom Williams. Joyce is survived by her sister Stella Miller Gibson, daughters Charmaine Williams Henriques, Crystal Williams Christner, granddaughters Nichole Franklin Morris, Summer Godfrey Brewer, Shauna Godfrey, Alyssa Christner Costa, Layla Christner, grandson David Runk, and 9 great-grandchilren. She loved dogs, especially her poodles. She loved plants, flowers and fun. She loved telling jokes but could barely get through one without laughing too much to finish. She had a smile that would light up the room. She loved her husband, her children and grandchildren, and her church. She was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church in Jackson. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Madison County Nursing Home.
