I remember my 7th grade year at Whitten. All were required to take Home Ec, Shop, Choir and Art. As creative as I am, I was terrible in Art but Mr. Quinn was so supportive and understanding. His presentation, each year, at a student assembly was a wonder to behold. Until he turned the main lights down and his array of colored lights on the artwork, you never knew what you were going to see but it was always a beautiful tribute to the Lord. While I was in shop, he drew a silhouette of a cat for me to use as a pattern for my napkin holder. He was a great friend to the students. His smile is one of the best memories I have.
I will keep his family in my prayers, asking that the Lord comfort them and give them His peace.
