Marvin David Pepper found peace and went home to be with the Lord on April 30th 2021 after a long and courageous fight with cancer. He passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. Marvin was born on May 19,1950 in Canton, MS to William Elisha Pepper and Audrey Billingslea Pepper. Marvin has one brother, Fred Brockton Pepper of Benton, MS. Marvin was preceded in death by his loving sister, Helen Elizabeth (Bettye) Pepper of Dallas, Texas. The Pepper family moved to Benton, MS where he attended Benton High School and was very active in sports and other organizations. He was captain of the football team, President of the B Club, and most valuable player more than once. He was elected Friendliest Boy, Most Courteous, and Mr Benton High School. Marvin was considered by all who knew him to be loyal, fun loving and tender hearted. After high school he attended Holmes Jr. College and played football. He graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelors degree in Architectural Engineering. Marvin started his own construction company with his friend Roger Richardson and was a successful custom home builder for over 40 years. Marvin met the love of his life, Peggy Bingham Pepper of Madison, MS and knew he wanted to marry Peggy after one date! They were married 8 months later in the Chapel of MUMC and were married for 39 years. Marvin’s greatest passions in life were teaching his two boys, Clayton and Brad, about life and to always be a gentleman. He taught them about hunting, fishing, and how to appreciate nature. His favorite hobby was looking for Native American artifacts and was a member of Central States Archeological Society. Marvin is survived by his devoted wife, Peggy Bingham Pepper of Madison, two sons, Clayton Howell Pepper of Madison, MS and William Bradley Pepper and wife Brielle Toney Pepper of Flora, MS.
