Obituary of Clyde Buice Satterwhite

Clyde Buice Satterwhite, 78, a lifelong resident of Jackson, passed away on September 14, 2021 of heart failure. Clyde was born on October 10, 1942 to Clyde Preston and Mamie Buice Satterwhite. He was a graduate of Central High School in Jackson and Belhaven University and spent most of his career in the advertising/marketing profession. He also served several years with the 172nd Tactical Airlift Group, U.S. Air Force. A member of Pear Orchard Presbyterian Church, he enjoyed singing in the church choir. He also enjoyed playing guitar and was a part of several singing groups and bands throughout his life. Golf was another passion. Clyde is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy Statham Satterwhite; sons, Brad (Erin) Satterwhite of Sacramento, California, and Eric (Allison) Satterwhite of Laurel, Mississippi; and three grandsons (Kaleb, Peyton, and Elliott). Visitation will be held Monday, September 20, 2021, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Natchez Trace Funeral Home and the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in the Natchez Trace Funeral Home Chapel. Because Clyde had to have several units of blood during his illness, the family is asking that in lieu of flowers those who are able donate blood in his honor. If unable to give blood, please donate to the charity of your choice.
