Cody Bishop Gaughf was born on September 1, 1987, to the parents of Wendell Bishop Gaughf and Michele Ashley Ferrell at the University Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Ms. He received his High School diploma in 2005 at Ridgeland High School. Cody was a genuine human being to walk this earth. If you knew Cody you knew that his smile was contagious and would light up any room. You knew there wasn't a moment that passed that he didn't try to make people laugh. He was family oriented and his pride and joy were his children. Cody had a special personality to work with the elderly and provide them with the absolute best of care. He was born with the gift of being a caregiver. He was always looking out for people in need, especially among his family. He loved his wife, Gail and his children with all of his heart and would move mountains to make sure they were provided for. Cody carried such a special bond with his sisters that nothing could ever come between them. He loved his mother and father deeply and the bond that he held with each parent was special and stronger than words could describe. Cody's heart was filled with all the things he loved; faith, family and friends. Cody peacefully passed away on November 17th, 2021 with family surrounding him at the St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson, Ms. He is survived by his father, Wendell Bishop Gaughf and his mother, Michele Ashley Ferrell. He leaves to cherish his memories: His wife of 6 years, Gail (Penn), Brecken Watson(daughter), Wyatt Gaughf (son), Mason Gaughf (son) , sisters, Jordan Kelsey Gast (Jeremy Gast) and Baylee Renee Gaughf, nephews, Dalton Halbert and Brentley Gast, niece, Kellie Gast, uncle, Neil Ferrell (Katie), aunt, Melisa Ferrell, maternal grandmother, Vicki Wann Jefcoat, paternal grandmother Carol J. Gaughf, Mother-in-law, Le Anne Penn, Father-in-law, Shannon Penn, and brother-in-laws, Ridge Penn and Colby Penn. He is preceded by his maternal grandfather, Milton (Mickey) Jordan Ferrell Ill, and his paternal grandfather, Jerry Glenn Gaughf.
