Obituary of Frank Griffing

~Frank Griffing, age 69, passed away on December 5, 2017.  He was born on July 30, 1948 to the late M.P. Griffing and Edith Echols Griffing. He was a native of Bentonia and had lived a number of years in Crystal Springs before moving to Brandon 12 years ago. A truck driver by trade, Mr. Griffing was a family man who loved spending time with his family. He was an amazing person who enjoyed woodworking and controlling the television remote control. He and his wife Nancy have been married for 37 years and together enjoyed their wonderful family.

Frank is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Griffing; sons, Robert Swilley (Leslie) and Justin Griffing (Zoe); grandchildren, Katherine Speer (Josh), Sarah Swilley, Lilly Swilley, Dalton Swilley, Alex Swilley, Dillon Swilley and Izzy Swilley, great granddaughter, Mackenzie Speer and sisters, Barbara White (Gene), Linda Bentley (Bobby), Lynn Montgomery, Mary Ables (Phillip), Betty Cargil and Phyllis McDill (Chuck).

In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his son Daniel Swilley, brothers Jimmy Griffing and Bud Griffing and mother-in-law, Jean Chance.

A service to celebrate his life will be scheduled for a later date.
