Edward Gerald Garrity, 87, of Ridgeland, passed away on February 11, 2022. He was born on September 10, 1934, to Edward James Garrity and Yvonne Hilton Garrity in New York. Edward retired from McRae's, where he worked in the Personnel Department. He enjoyed fishing, working in his yard, and sports. He was a Parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Edward is survived by his loving spouse of 63 years, Mary Ann Lebda Garrity, daughters, Lynn Traxler (Kevin) and Cathy Rogers (Troy); grandchildren, Jennifer Weaver (Caleb), Rachel Centeno (James), David Stribling, Justin Elliott (Sarah), Amie Elliott, Jared Russell, Sarah Russell, and Thomas Traxler; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Judy Armstrong and Sister Joan Garrity; and brothers, Patrick Garrity and John Garrity. Mr. Garrity was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Michael Edward Garrity. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 am with burial in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.
