Willie Joe Walker Ridgeland, MS Willie Joe Walker, age 85, passed away on October 22, 2022, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was born on March 15, 1937, to Horace Walker and Myrtle Walker in Sumrall, MS. Willie married Freeda Knight-Walker, and to this union they had two sons Joseph and John. Willie and his wife Freeda were married for 64 years, and also lived in Ridgleand, MS for 59 years. While being a husband and father, Willie also was the proprietor of Little Willie's Meat Market & BBQ. Willie attended First Baptist Church of Ridgeland and during his tenure at First Baptist of Ridgeland, he loved Men's Sunday School, and also enjoyed life. Willie enjoyed his many friends and watching all of his favorite sports, westerns, and religious channels along with the Wheel of Fortune. Willie is survived by His Wife Freeda Knight-Walker of Ridgeland, MS; Two Sons, Joseph Craig (Teresa Lee) Walker of Brandon, MS, John T. Walker, Sr. of Allen, TX; Sister, Ivis N Bryson of McCamey, TX; Two grandchildren, Isabella Walker of Kotzebue, AK, John T. Walker, Jr. of Allen, TX. Visitation will be Wednesday October 26, 2022 at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A funeral service celebrating his life will be at 11:00 AM at Natchez Trace Funeral Home and interment will follow in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.
