Obituary of Elizabeth Ann Herrin Hinds
Elizabeth Ann Herrin Hinds, 56, of Madison, passed away suddenly on January 23, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Beth Ann was born to Harold and Maggie “Beth” Hatcher Herrin in Hattiesburg, MS. Raised in Purvis, MS., she graduated from Purvis High School with the class of 1979 and was a member of Purvis United Methodist Church.
She was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a BSBA in Business Information Systems. She was active in Delta Sigma Pi professional business fraternity where she made many lifelong friends.
Throughout her adult life, Beth Ann lived and worked in Elkhart, IN, Dallas, TX, Naperville, IL and California.
Beth Ann worked for the Mississippi Department of Transportation for 14 years and was a Security Analyst. She was previously employed with EDS, Trustmark Bank and BellSouth MobileComm. Throughout her career, many of her co-workers became like family to her.
Beth Ann was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and supported many charities. She was currently board president of the Ladies Mustard Seed Auxiliary and active in fundraising for St. Joseph School.
Beth Ann was known for her strength, kindness, generosity, compassion and fun-loving spirit. Her number one priority was her children and she loved nothing more than being a mom. She enjoyed spending time and making memories with family and friends and snuggling with family pets, especially her beloved dachshunds.
Beth Ann was preceded in death by her sons, Austin and Zachary Hinds, father, Harold Herrin, mother, Maggie Beth Herrin Jordan, stepfather, William Jordan, and brothers, Ross Herrin and James Herrin.
Beth Ann is survived by her husband, Thomas Hinds, Sr. three children Thomas Jr., Tyler and Emily; three brothers Glen, Roger and Dave Herrin and a large extended family of brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews and friends, all of whom she loved dearly
Visitation will be held Friday, January 26, 2018, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison, MS with a 10:00 am Funeral Mass Saturday, January 27, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gluckstadt. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 pm at the Purvis United Methodist Church, 206 Mitchell Ave., Purvis, MS 39475.
