Prabha Narendra Sanjanwala passed away peacefully on June 25, 2023 at the age of 86. Prabha was born on July 20, 1936 in Umbergaon, India, to Ramchandra and Satyabhama Hatkar. In the 1950's, she met the love of her life, Narendra, while still in high school, and the two would pass secret love notes to each other through friends before finally getting their family's permission to marry on February 18, 1960. They had two children, Umesh and Arpana. She worked as a school teacher in India before coming to the U.S. with her husband and children. Prabha pursued and became an AutoCad Engineer-Drafter in the U.S. Afterward, she retired and spent time traveling the world with her husband and working in their garden together. They celebrated 61 years of blissful marriage together. Her children and grandchildren remember her for her love and devotion to her family. Prabha was very generous and loving to everyone she met. She enjoyed art, gardening, cooking, needlework, and ceramics. She is preceded in death by her husband Narendra. Survivors include her two children, Umesh (Renu) and Arpana (Dinis); four grandchildren, Sital Sigh (Kiger), Cheshil Dixit (Devon), Sonum May (Ben), and Harshin Sanjanwala; and three great-grandchildren, Larkin and Aiden Sigh, and Orion Dixit. She is also survived by her sister Sulochana Krishnanath Dandekar in India. In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations can be made to the following: Blair E.
