James Harold “Jim” Butler September 5, 1948- August 25, 2023 Jim Butler, 74, went to be with our Lord on Friday evening at his residence in the City of Madison. A believer and follower of Jesus Christ as his Savior, Jim was a member of First Baptist Church Madison. He served his country in both the U.S. Marine Corp and the U.S. Army Reserves. Jim’s professional career began as a representative with the Mississippi Farm Bureau and he later served as a lobbyist for the Mississippi Power Association. Jim was known for being one of the “best homebuilders” throughout the metro area. He also served as Madison County Election Commissioner for many years.
