I loved her! What a great person. First met her when I was 16 hanging around with her brother Jerry in Madisonville when she was 14. She was drinking a coke. She use to hose us down in the front yard when me and Jerry would come out of the swamp with sacks of crayfish. Our lives crossed paths many times after that for many years and especially again for 6 weeks when our families went out west camping in the summer of 1978…….What fine memories!……I loved her like a sister. Reading my cousin’s obituary I realize how very much Sharon was like her Mother, my Aunt Myrtle. She too was a gardener and an active member of the Madisonville garden club. Sharon was very pretty, like her mother and very sweet like her mother.
It’s a sad time for me because it’s the end of a wonderful family connection I’ve had all my life. The Courtney Pennington family included me in the best outings I had in Madisonville. They all went swimming in Bogue Falaya on Sunday afternoons and invited me. I loved it. I will be at the funeral. Susan Kay

Prayers and love going out to the Hiatt and Cuevas Family. We have had the pleasure of being their neighbors for several years now. There is not a better example of a loving family than this household. We even love all their furry family members. If you guys need anything all you have to do is call and we will be there.

Through laughter and tears, we shared many hours on the back porch trying to find answers to the mysteries of life. Sharon was a dear friend and an amazingly remarkable woman.
