James Larry Polk Madison, MS Larry Polk of Madison passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the V.A. Home in Kosciusko, MS. Born in 1942 in Shivers, MS, Larry was the youngest son of Olin and Ruth Polk. Larry was a Vietnam Veteran and enjoyed tinkering with computers thanks to his equipment repair background from Western Union and the Post Office. He was a kind, humble and loving person who will be missed. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Olin Forest and Kathy Ruth Berry-Polk, and his sister Betty Joann Polk. He is survived by his wife, Betsy Polk; his children, Kevin Polk and DeeDee Collins; his brothers, Jerrell and Don Polk. Services will be held at the Natchez Trace Funeral Home located at 759 Hwy 51, Madison, MS 39110. Visitation will start at 12:30pm. The Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1pm with interment to follow in the Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials can be made to the VA Home in Kosciusko or to the American Legion Post 153, 113 Cherry Bluff Drive, Madison, MS 39110.
