Mickey Wallace of Madison, MS was called home to be with the Lord on January 28, 2018. Visitation will be held Thursday February 01, 2018 from 10-12 p.m. at Natchez Trace Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life service following at 12:00 p.m.  A graveside service will be Thursday February 01, 2018 in Church Hill Cemetery in Church Hill, MS. At 3:30 p.m.  It is located eight miles east of the Mississippi River and approximately 18 miles north of Natchez at the intersection of highway 553 and Church Hill Road

Madison - Mickey Paul Wallace, 63, died Sunday, January 28, 2018.  Mickey was born April 23, 1954 in Brookhaven, Ms to Malcolm and Annalo Nations Wallace.  He grew up in Natchez, Ms where he attended Natchez Schools.  He achieved many honors throughout his years at South Adams Natchez High School, including being a member of the honor society, lettering in basketball and golf, class president, president of the student body, as well as Mr. South Natchez Adams High School. He continued his education at Millsaps College, where he graduated with a B.A. in Chemistry in 1975.Mickey was also apart of the fraternity  Pi Kappa Alpha . He lettered in Golf and continued to receive academic honors, earning Most Outstanding Premedical Student.  He studied Medicine at The University of Mississippi Medical School in Jackson, Ms., where he received his Medical Doctorate Degree. While attending UMC School of Medicine, he received the Award for Otolaryngology.  He chose The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina for his residency in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.  In 1983, Dr. Wallace became board certified with the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He went into private practice in Jackson, Ms at Hinds General Hospital. In following years, he joined The Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgical Group where he spent most of his years of practice. Here he established many patients as well as wonderful friendships and co-workers that were like a family.  Dr Wallace recently opened Wallace Medical Arts ENT and Facial Plastics in Madison, Ms.  So many stories have been told while sitting around talking about Dr Wallace. His love for the outdoors - hunting, fishing and sports were shown through all of his many wonderful photographs and his stories of hunting and fishing trips will forever be remembered.

 He was preceded in death by his father Malcolm Wallace and mother Annalo Nations Wallace, both of Natchez, Ms.; Son, Matthew Collins Wallace; grandparents George and Mae Lofton Wallace and Versie and Iva Smith Nations  He is survived by his sons:  Michael Ryan Wallace of Brandon, Ms       Sean Ferneau Wallace of N. Charleston, South Carolina and companion Julie Lackey of Madison, Ms
