Granville Evans Fulton passed away June 11,2024 at Belhaven Select Specialty Hospital. He was born on January 26, 1936 to John Evans Fulton and Icynae Daniels Fulton in Philadelphia, MS. He graduated from Bond High School in 1954. He met and married Shirley Ann Fulton. Shirley was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2012. Granville lovingly cared for her everyday until her passing in 2022. He never complained and his devotion to her never wavered. Throughout the years, Granville was a member of Briarwood Drive Baptist Church, then Woodlandhills Baptist Church and currently, First Baptist Church of Madison. He was a member of the Bird, Crockett, Southerland and Walley fellowship class. In earlier years, Granville enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed attending USM football games with his late son-in-law, Walter. Granville and Shirley volunteered countless hours for Operation Christmas Child. This brought him great pleasure along with many happy memories.Granville never met a stranger! He was always ready and eager to share his many stories and jokes. We heard his stories countless times, they were as funny the tenth time as the first! May these memories last forever. This was a difficult year for Granville, due to various health issues. He spent time in Baptist Hospital, Wisteria Gardins rehab and his latest home away from home, Brandon Court. He made friends wherever he went and treated everyone with kindness, respect and gratitude even in his suffering. There are no words to adequately thank his nephew, Dr. Tim Cannon along with Chad Barefoot, ACNP. They worked tirelessly to improve his health and quality of life. Thank you again Tim, Chad and all the nurses, nursing assistants and everyone that touched his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Icynae Fulton; brother, Jerome Harold Fulton; his loving wife, Shirley Ann Fulton; son-in-law, Walter Cook. He is survived by his son, Mandel Evans Fulton(Sherry); daughter, Tammy Cook; sister, Martha Patterson(James Henry) Grandchildren: Chad Fulton (Cassie); Eric Fulton (Sarah); Morgan Van Every (Jonathan) Great Grandchildren: Carter, Landon, Graham, Reid, Julia and Caleb.
