Q: How did you meet Edith?
A: I met her at Pinelake church. I was a teacher at Ms School for the Deaf. I was interested in helping with the deaf group at Pinelake. She helped me learn to interpret songs for the deaf group represented there. I was fortunate to work with her in this ministry. She was so encouraging and I loved her laugh.

Edith was a dear lady, friend, and mentor. I worked with her many years first at Hinds Community College then with me in DeafLink Interpreting Services. She put in hours of work helping me get organized when I started teaching the Hinds Interpreter Training Program. She was a professional who still had a heart for the Deaf community. She didn’t just love sign language, she loved the Deaf. She will be greatly missed among the deaf and interpreting community.

I am so very sorry about Edith's passing... It really hurts my heart to know that I'll not see her again on this side of Heaven, but I rejoice in the knowledge that we will meet her again when GOD calls us home. Edith was one of my favorite people. She was a one of a kind, special woman of GOD, who loved deeply, laughed often, and loved the LORD. I'm gonna miss her laughter and her beautiful heart. Praying for Jim, Suzanne and DeeAnne as they face the days ahead. May their memories bring comfort to their heart. Love, Larry, Betty, Janet & Jamie

Edith and I had a special relationship in caring for the Deaf kids that we worked together teaching and acting for clarity and passion. We had some chats to inspire each other and eat out to fellowship each other we saw them the last time my husband Ron passed that year 2023. We love Edith like good special sister.
