Michael David Simpson, 62, of Brandon, MS passed away on December 28, 2024, at the River Oaks Hospital in Flowood, MS. He was born on March 18,1962 to the late Thomas Ray Simpson and the late Betty Herrington Simpson of Crystal Springs, MS. He retired after 37 yrs as a Warehouse Manager with Sysco Foods. He also was the Pastor of Metro Baptist Church in Brandon, MS for 30 years. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Cindy Simpson, his children, Brittany Simpson Cooper (Will), Joseph Simpson and Anna Simpson, and his grandchildren, Christian Cooper, Ruth Marie Cooper, Kate Cooper, Aaron Cooper, and Rebecca Cooper. He is also survived by his sister, Melissa Langford (Dale); brother, Mitchell Simpson (Anissa); Nieces and Nephews: Amber Langford Small (Cody), Katelyn Simpson, Mattie Langford, Teresa Langford Stringer (Sam), Kendall Simpson Watkins (Will), Jacob Simpson (Hannah), and Ashton Simspon. He was a man after God's own heart, and we can rest assured that he is with God where he longed to be. Although we will miss him here on Earth, we are rejoicing for him to be together with our Father and the loved ones who have gone on before. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm with funeral service following in the Natchez Trace Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm. Bro. John Patterson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials in his name may be made to Metro Baptist Church 327 Bay Park Dr, Brandon, MS 39047.
