Linda Carol Garner Klein was born March 29, 1952 in Memphis, TN to the late Mr. James Thomas Garner & Bess Atkinson Garner.

Linda married her best friend from down the street in Memphis, Edward (Buddy) Klein Jr..  That’s where their great journey into many adventures began. As newlyweds, they spent a lot of time at a special cabin in Roger Springs, TN and in Greers Ferry Lake, AR.  She loved the outdoors and the peace it gave her. One of her favorite things at the time was to sit in an open field, listening to music and reading. Her favorites were, but not limted to, Joni Mitchell, Cream, & The Moody Blues.  Linda & Buddy began their family in Memphis but Buddy’s career with community development and the military would take them to many places of residence.  Linda was proud of her role as an army wife and a full time mother of three. As well as earning an Associates Degree in Computer Science with honors from Fayetteville Community College in North Carolina.  She also worked for companies such as FedEx and MS Carriers.  Family and God were the greatest things in her life that kept her going through good times and bad. Especially during Buddy’s multiple deployments for our great nation. She always had a down to earth vivacious spirit. She was always there to lend an ear or a shoulder to cry on for anyone.  Her kindness and capacity to love had no limits. Linda’s hardwork, dedication and sacrifices were recognized by the Department of the Army with an official certificate of appreciation in 2003, upon Buddy’s retirement after 35yrs of service. She showed great devotion when it came to her family. In her later years her greatest joy was spending time with her grandbabies.  Nothing brought her more joy than being surrounded by the love and laughter of her  little ones. To the end, as always, her thoughts and concerns were with her family. Especially her loving husband, children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in passing by her parents, one special beloved granddaughter, Misty Topper.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Edward G Klein Jr. of Ridgeland, MS., one son, Edward G Klein III and his wife Kristi of Madison, MS., two daughters, Deanna Klein Topper and her husband Michael of Reno/Tahoe, NV., and Rachel Klein Westerfield and her husband Scott of Brandon, MS., one sister, Patsy Garner Nicholas and her husband Marty of Sugarland, TX., three brothers., James Garner Jr. and his wife Mary Jane of Augusta, GA., Michael Garner and his wife Carolyn of Dallas, TX., and Steve Garner and his wife Dee of Austin, TX., seven grandchildren, Hunter Topper, Summer Keith, Katherine Westerfield, Evelyn Westerfield, John Coleman Jordan, Stella Klein, and Edward G Klein IV.
