Louise was a wonderful volunteer at the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi for many years. She helped us raise public awareness about diabetes management and risk factors through our National Diabetes Month and Diabetes Discovery Week campaigns.She was especially thrilled about our children's programs such as Camp Kandu and our "Sweet Subject" school diabetes education program. Even when she retired from volunteering and we ran into each other, she wanted to know about our latest awareness campaigns and the latest research updates. She was such a lovely, caring person- we will miss her so much!
