I extend my condolences John and to all of Trudy's family and friends. I am on the Prayer Chain of the Be Not Afraid Organization. I have seen some of the beautiful blankets that Trudy made for the babies in a Be Not Afraid Newsletter where Trudy was featured. We all prayed for Trudy when she went into the hospital for elective surgery and then again after her first heart attack. It is so hard for us to understand how someone who is doing so much to make a difference in the lives of others can be taken away from us. I believe that God has a plan for each of us and that it was God's plan to bring Trudy to heaven at this time.
I will continue to pray for strength for your family as you grieve her loss.

I am the Prayer Coordinator for a Ministry that Trudy was involved in -- Be Not Afraid. This ministry walks alongside parents who have been given a poor diagnosis for the baby they are expecting and who want to carry their baby to term. So often these parents feel alone in their journey, unable to get the support they need as they seek options for their precious baby. Be Not Afraid helps these parents in so many ways, not the least of which is through peer support. Trudy stepped up to the plate several years ago and offered to make custom blankets for these little ones who are often born premature. She embroiders a special blanket for each child, relying on her instinct for the perfect design -- always so welcomed by the parents. Trudy's love for these little ones was evident and went a long way towards comforting not just the baby, but the parents. I can imagine that there are dozens of little BNA babies who greeted Trudy, knowing full well the comfort she gave to their parents at such a difficult time. I am so sorry to hear this about Trudy! She worked with me at Medical Mastermind after she retired - really because she enjoyed what she did all those years!!!
She was truly a Godsend for us and dealt with some of our most difficult claims - helping us get them resolved.
SHE WAS AWESOME.
Everyday she would come in talking about her grands or her kids. She was a beautiful person and Heaven is shining a little brighter right now!
I will be praying for your comfort and peace and as you maneuver through all the firsts without your beloved Meme.
