Trudy Gail Bowen Barrett 68, affectionately known as “MeMe”, passed away January 19, 2020 surrounded by her family. Trudy is survived by her husband of 51 years, John Barrett, her two daughters, Tracy Jones (Chris) and Courtney Flesher (Spencer), four grandchildren Ashleigh Morrow(Brandon), Owen Jones, Cole Flesher, Charleigh Flesher, two great grand- children Marleigh Morrow and Max Morrow, as well as her three sisters, Linda Thurman, Mary Rael and Connie Clay. She was preceded in death by her parents Aaron Curtis Bowen and Mary Ellen Hopkins Bowen. She was born October 6, 1951 in Jackson, MS. She graduated from Central High School in 1969. She began her career in Medical Management at Internal Medicine in Jackson, MS. She spent much of her career as the chief operating officer at Perfomax, Inc. After retirement, Trudy enjoyed time with her family. She enjoyed reading, baking and watching college football (Geaux, Tigers!). Trudy loved sewing and especially quilting blankets for her great grand -children. Recently, she had found joy in sewing blankets for the Be Not Afraid charity. Trudy’s favorite place to be was at the beach with her entire family. Trudy will be greatly missed by her family, friends and her beloved dog “Mollie”. MeMe, we will miss you more than words can express, but we know we will see you again. Every trip we take to the beach, you will be in our hearts.
