My heart aches for Mary and the Hall family to lose in death your precious loved one Clyde. Words are so limited that can give comfort, so I would like to share with you beautiful scripture where our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18) invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Psalm 34:18
Jehovah promises us that he is going to do away with man's greatest enemy, death. Rev. 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises here on earth (Psalm 37:9-11, 29), including the resurrection.
None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection.
Our savior, Jesus, said: John 6: 40; "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day".
Jesus also said: John 5: 28; "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out..."
John 11:23-25; "Jesus said to her: "I am the resurrection and the life." The one who exercises faith in me, even tho he dies, will come to life."
Acts 24:15 tells us: "And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous." Our savior, Jesus believed in and taught that there would be a future resurrection of our dead loved ones, on the last day, because he knew he was the one that would be doing the resurrecting!
I pray that Jesus's promise to reunite us with our loved ones on resurrection day will carry you through the difficult days ahead and gradually replace your tears of grief with tears of joy as you reflect on your precious memories of happier times with Clyde. To May and family: I am deeply saddened by the news of Clyde's death. I am extending my Sympathy from across the miles and pray that God will guide each of you through this difficult time in your lives. My life has been blessed by knowing Clyde and especially my dear friend and Big Sister (May). While we do not understand death nor the suffering one experiences during a long term illness, we can be assured that God knows our hearts and hear all of your prayers, concerns, whys, etc. and will help each of the family get through another day.
I encourage you to hold on to all of the fond memories of Clyde and know that he will be missed by many family, friends and former colleagues.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Clyde was a tremendous Soldier and a great mentor. He was my first supervisor in the MSARNG and I will never forget his patience with me. His leadership set me on a solid path that I've followed my entire career. God speed Clyde, I will never forget you.
