Q: What will you never forget about Grace?
A: Very Sweet, always happy, smiling, and a good person all around. I loved her and she loved me. I was 6 years old when Dee married my uncle Duke (Meland) and moved away, we were neighbors.
And just like her mom, Ms. Marshall, Dee was very outgoing. Her mom was the neighborhood grandma always making sure we went to Church and Sunday School.
Her mom led the “Sunshine Band” and would walk the neighborhood stopping at each house to gather all the neighborhood kids and walk us to St. Paul Church to practice our Easter or Christmas Speeches.
Dee and her mom had the sweetest disposition loving and kind and gave great hugs.
I remember as a little girl Dee really like chewing gum and could pop it like no one else. To a six year old that was like magic.
All my memories of my beloved Aunt and friend are happy ones. We all loved her but God loved her more.
Rest Sweet Sweet Auntie in the Loving Arms of Our Father in Heaven. You are truly missed!!
