I just saw someone in a movie who reminded me of Les, so I tried to look him up, and I'm sorry to discover that Les passed away. I was one of the attorneys who represented insurers and insureds when Les was managing GIA. Les was kind and low-key and easy to work with. I remember going deep sea fishing with Les, too. Rest in peace, Les, and God bless the Metcalfe family.

During my time at Allstate Les was a very good friend. Funny and had great stories about growing up. Love his gator stories. He once caught a nice tuna smoked it and brought it to the office he was a hit that day. I miss him and think of him often. Someday we will talk again. My sympathies to the family.

I am so sorry to learn about the passing of Les. I worked with Les at Allstate for many years. He was one of my favorite managers. Always approachable gentle and kind. He always had great stories to tell which usually left everyone with a chuckle. He was a good man, father, husband and team leader. He will be missed by many. May he rest in peace

Q: How did you meet Henry?

Les was one of the finest men I have ever known and we finished high school together. He was good in several sports and was selected, MR Yazoo High. He was also selected friendliest boy and best blocker and tackler for football. It was my honor to have known him for more than 65 years and count him as my friend.
