My “Daddy,” William Lum, was the sweetest, kindest, and most loving father a person could have! He loved us beyond measure and protected us from anything that might have made us feel threatened or unhappy; gave freely to us everything we needed, and treated us with respect.
Daddy was not only a father, but was a friend. He was enjoyable to be around and loved to talk to everyone, especially his two girls! He was a great storyteller. He was one of seven children, and had many stories to tell about his childhood, his love of nature, his love for his family and last but not least, his love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We were in church every Sunday and we learned from Daddy and Mother, at an early age, how to listen and learn things of importance and how to love and respect God and others as well as ourselves. We learned how to be kind, honest, resourceful, compassionate, hard working, consistent, and thoughtful. Daddy was all these things, and I will be forever grateful to have been his daughter!!!

You were always SO good to and loved everyone in your extended family. I as your daughter Donna and my sister Carol wish to say that you were the best daddy in the world! A wonderful Christian father and role model who we will miss and cherish forever!!! If anyone in the extended family wishes to honor you, we would be thrilled to hear their words. He loved you all so much.
