We spent a lot of time in the stands following our girls play soccer. He was always there supporting Sloan. He was an avid Southern MS sports fan and we had fun talking about that too! Q: How did you meet David?
A: I met Bruce Bancroft at USM Mini-Quarter in the summer of 1979 for all new students attending USM in the fall. We made an instant friendship and agreed to go through rush together. We both pledged Sigma Alpha Epsilon and became brothers and roommates. Bruce was easy going, well liked, and enjoyed life! Bruce sent the attached photo to me last year that brought back so many terrific memories. We always enjoyed catching up on the phone and sharing stories about our daughters. He loved his family and was so proud.
I consider myself blessed to have had Bruce in my life.
He was a true gentleman.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Bruce. I have so many childhood memories of our time, growing up together, at 15th Avenue Baptist Church. I’m sure we got in trouble a lot back then be we certainly learned the basics about eternal life. For that, I know that we will all be reunited eventually.
