Please share a memory of Cynthia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Cynthia H. Weir, 73, of Brandon, passed away on July 24, 2023, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Cynthia was born August 28, 1949, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and was the daughter of William D. Hamrick and Tina Maggio Hamrick Laird. She retired from the Louisiana Department of Labor and from the Mississippi Department of Employment Security. Cynthia is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Daniel Weir; daughters, Brandi Fournet (Dickens), Jennifer Norsworthy (Brandon) and grandchildren, John Brody Fournet, Mason Norsworthy, and Quinn Norsworthy; sisters, Janis Batchelor, Christine Kirkland, Margaret Helms (Ronnie), and brother, Charles Laird (Mischa). Being a great animal lover, she along with her husband took in many homeless dogs and cats over the years, including the ones her daughters brought home. Some animals just knew to show up at her doorstep. What she was most proud of and cherished was her three grandsons. She always enjoyed spending time with them and looked forward to the annual beach trip she took with her daughters and grandsons. Visitation will be held at Natchez Trace Funeral Home on Thursday July 27, 2023, from 2:00-3:00 pm with the graveside service to follow in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. https://www.stjude.org/
